To be completely honest, I’ve enjoyed using Philosophy skincare (read my previous post here) so much that it has completely taken my mind off posting a long-overdue review. Philosophy has converted me into a

I am a huge fan of Purity Made Simple cleanser, as it leaves my skin with a little glow and doesn’t leave behind any tightness and residue.
As a makeup remover, it works great. I don’t think I’ll ever need to purchase a separate one. (Yay to less clutter!)

The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash is lovely as well.
The scrub is very gentle, and it is packed with very smooth and fine granules that didn’t scratch or irritate my skin. A small amount is enough to exfoliate the entire face, and I still have a lot of product left from the small sachet.

Hope in a Jar also works well to hydrate and moisturise.
The soufflĂ©/mousse texture is a dream to use, although I’m not a big fan of jars as it’s so much more prone to contamination, but there’s no other way to show off the lovely texture. Hope in a Jar also has a hint of medicine-y scent, which may not sit well for some.

The Raspberry Sorbet, on the other hand, is a very concentrated gel.
The fruity scent isn’t as strong as I would like, and as a shampoo, it left my hair dry and frizzy. The Raspberry Sorbet may work better if you have oily hair.

I cannot comment much on Eye Hope, however, as dark circles and puffiness around my eyes go away easily after a good night’s rest.

The Microdelivery Triple-Acid Brightening Peel worked well to remove dirt and dead skin cells.
The peel did cause some redness on my skin, but it went away the next day and it did brighten my skin. It may work better on you if your skin isn’t sensitive. Edit: On the second day, I have noticed that my skin has reddened even more and appeared more tan, and this lasted throughout the week. The packet instructed to avoid sun exposure for a week after using the peel, but this is inevitable in forever-summer Malaysia. Even after two weeks, my skin would sting without sunscreen, which was never a problem for me.

All in all, my skin has improved significantly ever since I used Philosophy. My pores are less noticeable and my skin tone has evened out, and I cannot wait to try more products from the brand.
I highly recommend the Purity Made Simple cleanser (RM85) and Hope in a Jar (RM140) as a start if you’re new to the brand.
Philosophy is availabe in all Sephora stores in Malaysia.
