Khoon Hooi is no stranger to the Malaysian fashion scene. Embarrassingly, I have had to turn down invitations to his previous shows due to work commitments, but I finally managed to catch the one at KLFW this year.
His Fall 2014 collection does not disappoint (as usual) where bold cuts and colours and mixed with houndstooth, lace, large zippers and plume, inspired by the go-getter and jet-setting woman. In Khoon Hooi‘s words, “Capitol Hill meets rock star“. In Jack Donaghy’s words, “It’s called power clashing, and I can do it because I can.”
And Khoon Hooi does it because he can.
