Jonathan Liang’s shows are always a delight to witness. His meteoric rise in the industry was reflected in the galactic theme of his Fall 2014 collection with asymmetry, sharp cuts, and chunky zippers. The showcase brought us on a journey from darkness with onyx and navy hues to light with iridescence.
Shoe designer Nelissa Hilman, a friend of mine, has collaborated with Jonathan Liang for the second time around, her shoes complemented Jonathan’s aesthetic so well that it’s hard to believe they’re not working together on a full-time basis. It was indeed lovely to see how simple pieces can create such a huge impact.
