La Mer Intensive Revitalizing Mask

La Mer has recently launched their new Intensive Revitalizing Mask, dubbed at the 8-Minute Miracle. The mask promises healthier and plumper skin with their infused Miracle Broth.

La Mer has also sent me a bottle of The Treatment Lotion and Crème Soyeuse de La Mer (The Moisturising Soft Cream) to use along with the Intensive Revitalizing Mask. The scents have very faint floral and citrusy notes, and each product’s scent is unique from another. Each of them smells incredible in their own way, and I cannot help but to just inhale deeply before I apply them to my skin. The scents alone were enough for me to wind down and relax. My favourite is The Treatment Lotion’s.

The Treatment Lotion does not come with a stopper, at least my miniature one does not, and I must advise to be very careful not to spill it (eek!). A few drops of the clear liquid is enough to cover my entire face, and again, I cannot get over how lovely it smells.

I start off with The Treatment Lotion, and while my skin is still damp with lotion, I immediately apply the mask to lock in the lotion. The Intensive Revitalizing Mask is a light, non-greasy mask that works similarly to a moisturiser (looks and feels like one too, as sampled above). The instructions mentioned lightly wiping of the mask after 8 minutes, but my dry skin always absorbs everything under 5 minutes. I then follow up with the Crème Soyeuse de La Mer (The Moisturizing Soft Cream), a new, lighter version of Crème de la Mer which is suitable for day use and does not require warming up the cream with your fingertips before applying. Each of the products are weightless, so that’s another plus.

My tight, dry skin immediately “loosened” after applying the Intensive Revitalizing Mask, which no other product has ever done, as if a large weight has been lifted. With the light, dewy finish, my dull skin definitely looks healthier. Paired with La Mer’s amazing scents, this really is a sensory treat you can do at home.

I also have to caution that La Mer’s products have caused breakouts to a number of users, so please drop by the counters for an introduction to the brand and ask for samples before investing! La Mer is definitely not cheap 😉

The Intensive Revitalizing Mask retails for RM650 (75ml), The Treatment Lotion RM425 (150ml) and Crème Soyeuse de La Mer RM590 (30ml) and RM1050 (60ml). La Mer is available at Metrojaya (Midvalley), Isetan KLCC and 1Utama, and Parkson Pavilion.
