Brazilian shoe company Melissa continues to collaborate with Karl Lagerfeld, Vivienne Westwood, Jason Wu and J. Maskrey for its Fall 2014 collection.

Vivienne Westwood maintains her signature heart and bow appliques, with different hues and tartan this time around.

Karl put himself into this collection, literally, with sandals that featured his tie, and there’s also another pair with a sunglasses applique on them. Karl on Karl! It is fun that he humours himself in these quirky shoes.

J. Maskrey’s Ultragirl is another crowd favourite with its Swarovski crystal embellishments, and for Fall 2014, the crystals are placed a more sporadically across the sides of the shoe as compared to the previous version (the red pair is now 55% off on Yoox!). Personally, I don’t see much of a difference between the J. Maskrey Ultragirl I and II besides the positions of the crystals, so why not get the heavily-discounted one(s)? 😉

Gareth Pugh debuts his first collection with the futuristic Ancesion, which was inspired by the shape of ailerons. The Ancesion really does look runway-ready but I do wonder if it is really wearable.

The Campanas, with its signature zig-zag form is revamped with a motif of interlaced roses, and it is the most versatile pair of the lot.

Melissa Fall 2014 will be available in August.
