June Jacobs is one of the most renowned spa visionaries for more than 30 years. Their products are stocked up in the rooms of luxurious hotels worldwide. That already speaks volumes for the brand, especially when their products are paraben- and preservatives-free. Selected products are also free of synthetic dyes, fragrance and sulphates!
Founders June and Rochelle Jacobs are also behind the much-raved skincare line Peter Thomas Roth.
The June Jacobs Spa Collection* is extensive, featuring body and skincare products. I have enjoyed using all of them at home, and the rooms do end up smelling like a spa! Yes, I used all of them in one sitting because they work great, and smell like freshly cut fruits! Guilty as charged!
The moisturising products hydrate my dry skin very well. They also leave that layer of moisture and lingering fragrance you would usually get once you leave a spa. It’s almost impossible for me to pick my favourites as they all live up to their claims (Moisturising? Yes. Clarifying? Yes.), so I’ll have to go with the ones that smell best.
One of my absolute favourites is the Citrus Clarifying Shampoo (RM158 for 198ml). It did not dry out my hair like other clarifying shampoos, and my hair has never felt so light and bouncy! The fresh citrus scent is the cherry on top. Another favourite is the Papaya Purifying Enzyme Mask (RM271 for 112.4ml). It did tingle on my skin a tad bit, but nothing major. I do wish that the Green Tea and Cucumber Purifying Shower Gel (RM153 for 198ml) had a stronger scent, but the mild, sweet green tea scent is lovely as well, which is a better fit for the Green Tea and Cucumber Body Balm (RM191 for 210ml).
My showers are just so… mediocre whenever I switch back to my regular drugstore products. June Jacobs’ products are pricey so I’m using them once or twice a week.
June Jacobs is available at their standalone spa in Subang Jaya (so close to home!) and Tangs, The Shore Melaka.
