My dehydrated skin is always on the lookout for new serums to drink up, so I’m very excited to show you Sephora’s latest offerings*!

FOREO Iris Eye Massager RM384
I expected this eye massager to just vibrate and I’d just have to place it under my eyes. Imagine my delight when each arm of the massager actually imitates the finger tapping motion, where you use your middle and ring finger to pat eye creams.
The intensity of the eye massager is adjustable, and I prefer the lowest setting. The highest speed one is a little too intense, probably for manly men who would require a deeper massage with a pink Iris Eye Massager. I haven’t personally tried the highest setting lest I clumsily poke my eye with it like how you leave your teaspoon into your mug of Milo and then take a big gulp. #SpoonInEyeEmergency

KATE SOMERVILLE Mega-C Dual Radiance Serum RM578
I’m a huge fan of Kate Somerville’s products, and the Mega-C Dual Radiance did not disappoint. The bottle actually includes two small bottles, Omega Serum and Vitamin C Matrix respectively, with separate nozzles. Like all other skincare with Vitamin C, the latter’s formulation is usually stored separately to ensure the serum’s longevity. To use, just place one finger on each pump, dispense evenly onto your palm and massage into your skin.

This serum came with a warning label. No water has been added to the Vitamin C Matrix, and as such, its high Vitamin C concentration may irritate your skin. The warning label includes instructions to tap the bottom of the bottle to evenly distribute both the Omega Serum and Vitamin C Matrix before application.

Fortunately, my sensitive skin did not react to the Mega-C Dual Radiance Serum. Upon application, my skin felt “lifted” instantly and gave me a healthy glow. It’s a great base for my foundation too! (I’m currently using Bobbi Brown’s Intensive Skin Serum Foundation which I absolutely LOVE. Click for my review!)
In other words, it turned this morning zombie into a fresh-faced woman who’s obviously ready for work.
Miraculous? Yes.

PETER THOMAS ROTH Un-Wrinkle Fast-Acting Serum RM578
From the bottle’s illustrations, you’ll see snail sheels and diamonds, so yes, Peter Thomas Roth’s Un-wrinkle Fast-Acting serum contains synthetic snail venom, neuropeptides and genuine diamond dust. At RM578, it is very pricey, but Peter Thomas Roth’s products have always been hits for me.

Arcona Advance A Serum RM296
Arcona’s products are cosmeceutically formulated with pure, natural ingredients, cold-pressed in small batches to keep them fresh, active and super-effective.

NUFACE Mini Facial Toning Device RM720
The Facial Toning Device is adorable. It requires a 12-hour charge before the first use.

CAUDALIE Resveratrol Lift Firming Serum RM260
Compared to Kate Somerville’s serum above, Caudalie’s Resveratrol Lift Firming Serum is a milder, creamier alternative. The latter is more hydrating as well. My foundation glided on smoothly. Being free of parabens, sulphates and phthalates is a plus.

ALGENIST Power Advanced Wrinkle Fighter Cream RM319
Algenist is one of the biggest contenders in skincare as they’re fragrance-free AND scent-free. Most products labelled “fragrance-free” usually has small amount of fragrance added to cancel out any residual scents, but Algenist goes a step further by eliminating all forms of fragrances in their products. Algenist’s products may smell chemical-y, but they work even for the most sensitive skin types.

Overall, these serums pack a powerful punch and are not to be underestimated. Serums are a must-have as its a booster for your moisturises. No matter how oily or dry your skin is, serums are the way to go to balance your skin’s oil and moisture levels.

Facial massagers are something very new to me, and it will take me a while to see their results. I have to admit that the massages are relaxing after a long week at work.

All of the products mentioned above are now available in Sephora stores nationwide! Find their locations here and start your journey with skincare at Sephora!
