bobbi brown serum foundation

I’ve been using the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation* in Warm Sand for about 3 months or so, and I’ve finally found a way to make it work for my dehydrated skin.

My skin was dry when I first started using it, and the foundation clung onto the flaky bits. Not attractive.
It also doesn’t stay on until lunch time, and there will be foundation marks on your phone after you’re done with a call. Loose powder can only help so much with my dehydrated skin.
The foundation’s coverage and texture is superb, not to mention it’s hydrating and comes with SPF 40 protection, so I was determined to make the foundation work for my skin.
Serum? Cannot live without it.
Foundation? I can live without it but I risk looking half-dead.
Serum foundation is the best of both worlds.

I’ve also started to cleanse my skin with oil daily, sort of an upgrade from my once-in-a-blue-moon oil cleanse.
My skin improved by leaps and bounds. No more flaky skin, no more tightness. My skin now has a healthy glow.
My sister is also a convert and we’ve almost gone through my big bottle of Sephora cleansing oil.

The foundation applies so much better now, and lasts longer too. I found the glass pipette a bit of a hassle at first, but it has grown on me. The glass bottle and pipette gives a little luxurious experience in my mornings.
I would dispense a small amount onto my fingers, then massage them into my skin.
My skin has never looked better; the heavy coverage evens out my skin tone beautifully with a healthy, dewy finish.

This is now my holy grail foundation on good skin days.

The Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation comes in 11 shades and retails at RM195 for a generous 30ml at Bobbi Brown counters and stores.
The Sephora Supreme Cleansing oil retails for RM52 (200ml).
