I absolutely loveeeee learning new things, and attending a silversmith class has been in my bucket list for a while.
After seeing Annielka‘s Instagram Stories of her experience at Chez Monique’s Silversmith Class in Ubud, I booked my class immediately and packed my watermelon tourmaline gemstone.
The class costs an affordable 450,000 rupiah (approx. RM120) which includes 10 grams of silver, and they accept credit card payments.
Wayan greeted me at the entrance, and helped me sketch my preferred design.
There weren’t any other students during my slot, so another instructor Echo gladly helped with my difficult-to-make 6-prong setting.
All that hammering, filing, cutting and torching one piece of silver wire into a ring was immensely fun.
Will I be back?
