My love for cleansing oils extends to Shu Uemura’s cult Skin Purifiers*. Although similar in appearance, Shu Uemura cleansing oils perform differently from one another.
The Anti/Oxi Skin Refining Anti-Dullness Cleansing Oil (that sure is a mouthful) in the green bottle is quite a multitasker! It removes makeup in a flash, and leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean without residue. This oil cleanser has a mild citrus-y scent, most probably from the moringa extract. My sister and I both loved it so much that we’ve emptied it quite quickly and are seriously considering getting the huge 450ml bottle (RM330).
The one in the lavender bottle is the Blanc Chroma Brightening & Polishing Gentle cleansing Oil (another mouthful) has a lovely, soothing floral scent (try it when you’re taking a hot shower or bath!), and is milder than the Anti/Oxi one. It doesn’t remove much makeup, but promises to brighten skin. The Blanc Chroma is better suited for sensitive skin, but you may need to invest in a separate makeup remover.
Shu Uemura cleansing oils retail for RM145 (150ml as shown above) and can be found here. The cleansing oils are a little pricey, but if I were to select one, I’d go with the Anti/Oxi cleansing oil as it doubles as a makeup remover as well, and no double cleansing required!
