Sundays are a more lively with more booths and visitors scattered around inside and outside the building.
Haeun Khon, a charming Korean restaurant on the top floor (right next to McDonald's) is not to be missed as well. My previous blog post on the restaurant can be found here.
Products range from antiques, vintage items and clothing, collectibles (action figures are aplenty for superhero and Star Wars fans), crafts and food, but my favourite spot is at the Lower Ground where all the antiques are.
My mom would tell me more about them as she grew up with charcoal irons and laundry detergent in tins.

One of the booths had a 50% off sale so Sheila and I picked up the coconut kalimbas at RM15 each.

I wonder what stories these vintage hairpieces have to tell. They look like the ones worn by dancers.

You can barely find soft drinks in glass bottles nowadays, and these bottles are still intact.

Also, don't forget to drop by BookXcess at the top floor.
Overprinted, brand new books at huge discounts!

Gosh where can I get my plane ticket? Lots of little treasures here - I love the look of some of the intricate gold bags (I assume from the photo they are quite tiny, more of a holder for something than an actual purse?).

You're always welcome to Malaysia, SOTC! Would love to show you around too ;)
DeleteThe bags are rather small, but it was made back in the days when women only carried a handkerchief, lipstick, IDs and cash. Isn't it lovely though?
Looks like vintage collectibles for me!
ReplyDeleteLet's go together :)

It really is heavenly. There are so many antiques there that I could just spend hours there just browsing and asking questions. And thank you for the compliment, Joanna ;)
