Tea at Delicious

Finally met up with Cheryl yesterday!
It's very easy to spot us: 2 girls with DSLRs snapping away like our lives depended on it.

I can't really remember the last time we've met since we left university.
(YES, we've graduated!)
Our convocation will be in August this year.

So we decided to have tea at Delicious (previous post HERE)
(I've clearly been influenced by Milla and her adventures of afternoon tea)
With finger sandwiches, duck confit tarts in filo pastry, scones (with clotted cream!), hand-rolled truffles, a slice of cake of your choice and 2 cups of tea etc., it's pretty affordable at RM59.90++.

The sandwiches are ok, but what surprised us that one of them contained a slice of smoked salmon.
I'm not a fan of seafood (let alone sashimi), so I gave mine to Cheryl who loves seafood despite her mild allergy.

I couldn't finish my tiny piece of pure dark chocolate.

The scones are very filling, and yes I love my scones to be overflowing like that lol.

I definitely didn't expect their portions to be big, so I regretted picking the macadamia cheesecake. Too sweet and too thick for our liking.
The strawberries were sweet, but having overdosed on sugar, I skipped dipping them in chocolate.

We sat there for almost 3 hours but alas, couldn't finish everything, unfortunately.
A lot of other patrons did ask us if they could take photos and where is it on the menu.
They ordered the same thing after that.
I'd definitely recommend ordering it only with an empty stomach or if you have a party of 3 or 4.

PS: Ok fine, I'll admit it. We ordered the set just so we could photograph it ;)

  1. What a truly wonderful afternoon! Yes, smoked salmon is a must for the sandwiches and usually served on brown bread. Very happy to see the cucumber sandwiches were served on white bread.

How come you couldn't finish? Did you eat before or after? For me, Afternoon Tea is my lunch, snack and often dinner. Yesterday, for example, I had breakfast at 10, afternoon tea at 14h30 and then a bowl of blueberries for supper. Next time don't have lunch - that's what the sandwiches are for :-)

    1. Cucumber sandwiches are a must!

Lol I ate before AND after! We're crazy that way ;)
I had my brunch at 11, tea at 3 then dinner at 8! I will definitely make more space in my tummy the next time. Thanks for the tips, Milla!

I love your photos! Especially the one combining scone and earl grey.

Too full as afternoon tea. Should definitely go with an empty stomach next time ^^

    1. Lol that's because I don't edit my photos much. The one that takes the most time is adding copyright info into each photo's EXIF data (takes seconds each time actually)

And thank you! :D Scones and tea should never be separated lol.

Yes, we need to clear some space in our stomachs the next time! XD

  5. Haha I love your last little comment. When I went for afternoon tea at The Plaza I was so in awe of the display I took lots of pictures.... this looks so yummy, I love warm scones jam and cream, reminds me very much of tea at my home when we were younger (ok so we didn't have cream often only as a treat but it was still AMazing.) Now I have a real craving...!

    1. Ah yes, we're guilty of ordering expensive pastries just so we could photograph them ;) When are you posting photos from The Plaza btw?

Speaking of cravings, go have scones asap!
