The Last Polka

Won an invite to their tasting session at The Bee last night!
The Last Polka is known for their homemade, 100% natural ice-cream.

Lemon & Poppyseed, served on top of meringue.

Clockwise from left: Tiramisu, Tom yam, Durian.

That's me with The Last Polka's proprietor, Ee Vee (center) and her sister, Ee May.

My favourite flavours from the tasting session are the Durian, Tiramisu and Rum & Raisin.
The Durian one has been launched today, and it's a Ramadan/Raya special so it will only be available for 2 months!
I personally never liked durian-flavoured desserts and pastries because the flavour just isn't right somehow. I will only eat it fresh from the fruit, but The Last Polka proved me wrong.

And I brought home their two bestselling flavours:
Salted 'gula melaka' and Nutella.
I died and went to ice-cream heaven.

  5. You had me at "nutella"!! What a fun time I'm so jealous, when it is hot in NYC all I want to do is eat ice-cream... My mother's favourite flavour is rum and raison but we struggle to find it in England now. Clearly she needs to take a trip....
